When I was in elementary school, a friend and I use to write and illustrate little stories that we would staple together into booklets. In high school, I started writing poetry and even had my own company, Harold Trewberry, Inc. When I got to college, I started using the university press to print my books of poetry.
After college, I started teaching and my writing dwindled to just about zilch, so in 2005, my father and I started Rock Island Press. Five years later, I left teaching and am now in the book business full-time.
